My name is Rosso. I'm a professional artist, Italian born, UK based. I’ve been painting professionally for over 15 years, and teaching for over seven. What began with short online classes soon expanded into in-person workshops across the UK, the US, Italy, Spain, and eventually into immersive retreats I now host in places like Sicily, France, London — and the list keeps growing.
The more I paint and teach, the more I’ve come to believe that becoming a better artist is not only about technique, style, subject matter, or materials. For me, it’s about three key elements: awareness, intention, and confidence.
Awareness — of technique, visual language, rules, and ways of interpreting the world.
Intention — the opposite of randomness: the ability to choose, adapt, and pursue a method that resonates with you.
Confidence — which grows through continued practice and deepening awareness of yourself and your work.
This is the heart of what I teach. Whether you enrol in my online painting school or attend a workshop or painting retreat in person, my goal is the same: to guide you toward greater clarity, deeper intention, and more confidence — all while helping you strengthen your own unique artistic voice!
The in-person workshops have become international gatherings of kindred spirits — artists who travel from all over the world to grow, create, and connect in a safe and inspiring environment.
